At what age can my child start at the school?
In our Pre-school, we welcome children from 0 to 3 years old. The youngest children start in Nursery at the age of 3; therefore, they may enrol at age 2 if they turn 3 during the academic year. Once they reach 3 years of age, they can join the main school.
What is the difference between a bilingual school and a British school?
A bilingual school follows the Spanish curriculum and teaches some subjects in English. CBS follows the British National Curriculum. Our pupils are immersed in English from day one, following the same educational system as a school in the United Kingdom.
What are the school hours?
Our core school hours are from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. We also offer a Morning Club service starting at 7:30 am for families who require it.
What is the international mix of pupils at the school?
While the majority of our pupils are Spanish, we have a significant number of international students from diverse backgrounds. This cultural mix enriches the learning experience for everyone.
Why is it beneficial for pupils to obtain international qualifications alongside Spanish ones?
By obtaining IGCSEs and A-Levels, our pupils receive qualifications that are recognised worldwide. This allows them to apply to top universities globally, including those in the UK, USA, and across Europe, while also having their studies fully validated for Spanish universities.
Are adapted menus available? (Allergies, intolerances, etc.)
Yes, our kitchen team prepares adapted menus for any pupil with specific dietary requirements, whether due to medical reasons, allergies, intolerances, or religious beliefs.
When do pupils have swimming lessons?
Swimming is part of our Physical Education (PE) programme. Weather permitting, lessons usually take place from mid-May to the end of June, and from the beginning of September until mid-October.
Which universities can CBS pupils attend?
Thanks to their dual certification, our pupils can access any university in the world. Most of our graduates go on to study at prestigious institutions in the United Kingdom, Spain, and other international destinations.
